Provides support to the Head of Contracts and Corporate Legal Affairs and the Legal team reviewing corporation legal matters; assists in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating any type of contracts; framework agreements and their amendments; affidavits of proprietary rights; terms and conditions for purchase orders and other legal documents; collaborates in legal corporate matters of the corporation; advises on the contracts and other legal documents in connection with Mexican and US Law.
The Legal Specialist performs among others, the following activities within the corporation:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Drafts, reviews, and negotiates contracts, framework agreements and their amendments, affidavits of proprietary rights, terms and conditions for purchase orders, and other legal documents under the applicable law required by the corporation and/or its clients.Reviews and advises, as applicable, on Pemex and/or other clients on internal policies, guidelines, and other applicable regulations.Assists in keeping a record of all legal documents, proceedings, books, and corporate secretary for the corporation.Assists in the translation of legal documents from English to Spanish and vice-versa.Assists in the preparation of applications for licenses, apostilles, corporate certificates, power of attorneys and/or permits, among other legal documents.Performs legal research of applicable law, and on a daily basis, and follows up on legal journals and internet subscriptions for the awareness of changes in the applicable law.Communicates with outside counsel, as required, to obtain legal advice or service to handle claims and/or litigation, as necessary.Performs a full range of legal and operational support tasks and special projects, as needed.Assists in the review, research, interpretation, and preparation of both, written and oral, opinions on a variety of legal issues that may arise in the conduction of the corporation or its clients’ business.Participates in courses or training to improve on existing knowledge for the performance of its duties.Participates in the dissemination of updated legal information to other areas of the corporation.Advises, drafts, and reviews corporation internal policies and regulations.Drafts responses to the legal inquiries and requests for information from corporation clients.Performs other duties, as may be required.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five years related experience and/or training in Law.
Qualifications
· Honesty, trustworthiness, integrity, and dependability.
Requirements
Law degree, whether in the United States of America or Mexico.
License to practice law, either in the US or Mexico.
Travel: 5% - 20% of the time in the United States, Mexico, or as required.
