Get ready for an exhilarating career opportunity as a Litigation Paralegal. This dynamic role offers the chance to demonstrate your expertise in the legal industry, particularly in defense civil litigation. You will be an integral part of a dedicated team of legal professionals who are committed to delivering high-quality legal services. You will be involved in a broad spectrum of activities including legal research, document preparation, and the management of complex litigation cases.

This role requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and provide insightful recommendations.
  • Prepare and manage a wide array of legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests, affidavits, subpoenas, and legal briefs.
  • Assist in the management of all phases of litigation, from investigation, pleadings, and discovery through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and external legal counsel to gather and analyze information pertinent to the case.
  • Organize and maintain documents in a paper or electronic filing system.
  • Keep track of case timelines and ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Attend legal proceedings such as depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Stay informed about current legislation, regulations, and legal articles relevant to the industry.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in defense civil litigation. Trial experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Paralegal certification is a plus.
  • Proficient in legal research and documentation, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation processes and procedures, court rules, and e-filing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
