Law Clerk (Finance)

Assists corporate lawyers by conducting legal research or preparing legal documents. May meet with clients or assist lawyers in court and trial related research.

• Perform legal research and analyze legal questions.
• Interpret and apply legal procedural and evidentiary rules.
• Apply oral and written communication techniques.
• Examine and analyze existing evidence, facts or data against legal precedents.
• Research and analyze law sources to prepare draft memoranda, briefs or arguments for review, approval and use by attorneys.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• J.D. degree required.
• Must have strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, and ability to follow through on details within priorities set by leadership.
• Strong written and oral communication skills required.
• Must have ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
• MQ:
  Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
  
  Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.

• Term of the position is one year.
• Working on projects assigned by the supervisor in the area you will be working in.
