Legal Department – Secretary
FRED Loya Insurance Agency is a family‑owned auto‑insurance company founded in 1974 in El Paso, Texas, operating over 700 agencies across several U.S. states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Alabama, Ohio, and Texas.
We invite a motivated, organized, and professional Legal Assistant to support our in‑house counsel in the Legal Department. The role provides high‑quality administrative and legal support, ensuring the protection of our policyholders and the company's legal interests.
Position Overview- Provide comprehensive support to in‑house counsel for Martinez, Dieterich & Zarcone Legal Group.
- Organize and maintain case files, manage legal calendar, and coordinate filings.
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, discovery responses, motions, orders, and other court filings.
- Interface with clients, claims adjusters, court clerks, and court reporters.
- Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and electronic filings.
- Review, document, and distribute mail and e‑mails as required.
- Assist in trial preparation and other duties assigned by management.
- Energized, organized, and able to work independently.
- Professional appearance and pleasant personality.
- Ability to provide previous employment references and pass a background check upon conditional offer.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant.
- Proficiency with State e‑filing system.
- Proficiency in all aspects of civil litigation process and rules.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus.
