Overview

The Houston office of Walters Balido & Crain seeks an attorney with experience in civil litigation/insurance defense that primarily involves personal injury, product liability, and premises liability. Requires strong knowledge of current procedural and substantive law, as well as federal and state rules. Must have effective oral and written advocacy skills, negotiation tactics, and the ability to apply analytical skills in addressing complex legal issues.

• TX Bar License (Required)

• Case assessment for liability, loss, and damages
• Manage client reporting, billing, budgeting, and case management requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Drafting and responding to discovery
• Exceptional research, writing, and briefing skills
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local rules
• Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goals
• Occasional travel

• Licensed to practice in the State of Texas
• Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel
