Overview

HWA is seeking a Commercial Litigation Attorney (2-5 years 5 years’ experience)

HWA is looking for a highly motivated attorney interested in developing and enhancing their litigation skills and working with a collegial and experienced commercial litigation team. This position offers hands-on experience in all phases of commercial litigation, including direct client contact, courtroom appearances, and drafting substantive motions and briefs.

Qualifications

Strong academic credentials and a demonstrated interest in litigation;

Knowledge of federal and Texas rules of civil procedure and evidence;

Ability to efficiently research, analyze, and brief supervising attorneys on complex legal issues;

Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and memoranda (law school clinics, clerkships, or internships count);

Background or coursework in business, real estate, or commercial matters (preferred but not required);

Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in an in-office setting;

Drive, ambition, and a desire to gain courtroom experience early in their career.

Requirements

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Texas (or eligibility for immediate admission)
