We are working with a publicly traded renewable energy company producing cutting-edge renewable energy, seeking a seasoned transactional attorney. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of M&A and commercial contracting experience, with a substantial background in energy, infrastructure, project development, and/or project finance, as well as joint ventures, ideally in the renewables space. This is a drafting, working-attorney position rather than a predominantly high-level management role.
Candidates should have experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements; supporting project documents; drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements; and negotiating, drafting, and implementing EPC contracts.
This is an in-office position in downtown Houston, with a heavy drafting focus, working with the company's principals and a growing staff in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. This is an exciting ground-floor opportunity at a well-financed startup, and the compensation will include a competitive base salary, bonus potential, and an equity component. The attorney will be a valued member of the management team, but it is a roll-up-your-sleeves position.
The company will consider a seasoned BIGLAW lawyer or someone with relevant in-house experience.
Please note that we are unable to get back to all applicants, but we will be in touch if we believe your resume reflects the hard skills the company is seeking for this role.
