Litigation Associate

A nationally recognized trial law firm specializing in general civil litigation is seeking Litigation Associates with 4+ years of experience to join its growing team. The firm has built a strong reputation over the past three decades for its trial capabilities, beginning with product liability defense and expanding into a wide range of additional practice areas. The team also frequently serves as excess and monitoring counsel due to its exceptional trial record.

Associates in this firm receive hands-on experience and early responsibility, including depositions, hearings, briefing, and trial work.

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from intake through resolution.
• Draft motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents.
• Regularly appear in court and conduct depositions.
• Work closely with partners and other attorneys across a variety of litigation matters.
• Maintain proactive and professional communication with clients, providing timely updates.
• Collaborate with legal support teams, including paralegals and legal secretaries.

• Strong academic background and solid foundation in civil litigation.
• Exceptional writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle matters with autonomy and sound judgment.
• Experience managing cases with minimal partner oversight.
• Trial experience preferred but not required

• Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in-office after 90 days (with approval)

• Support structure typically includes 2 paralegals and 2 legal secretaries per team

• Flexible daily schedule with arrival between 7:30–9:00am and departure between 4:30–6:00pm.
• Billable requirement:
  160 hours/month for associates and senior counsel.

• 1st Round: Screening with HR
• 2nd Round: Interview with supervising partner, second partner, and an associate
