We are seeking a seasoned Legal Manager to oversee and manage all legal affairs for our building materials business in the United States. This role is pivotal in providing strategic legal counsel to support market expansion, ensure full compliance with complex federal and state regulations, and mitigate risks associated with commercial operations, ultimately safeguarding the company's assets and reputation in the competitive US market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive legal support for daily operations, sales and distribution, marketing claims, procurement, and strategic investments in the US.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (e.g., sales, distribution, supply, service, licensing, NDAs) in English, ensuring alignment with company policies and US law.
  • Monitor, analyze, and advise on relevant US laws and regulations (including product liability, consumer protection, advertising, environmental, trade, and employment laws) impacting the building materials sector.
  • Develop, implement, and manage robust compliance programs and internal controls.
  • Manage and oversee litigation, disputes, and other legal proceedings, working efficiently with external counsel.
  • Advise senior management on legal risks, strategic opportunities, and complex business decisions.
  • Collaborate with global and regional legal teams to ensure consistency in legal strategy and practices.
  • Conduct legal training for local business teams to enhance legal awareness and risk prevention capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited US law school and active membership in good standing of a US state bar (any state).
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant legal experience, combining law firm and in-house roles.
    Direct experience in the manufacturing, construction, or building materials industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven expertise in US commercial law, contract negotiation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically within the US as required.
