Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate all election-related materials; including, but not limited to, ballots, documents, forms, notices, brochures, posters, flyers, social media content, and press releases from English to Spanish and vice versa.
- Assist with the ballot proofing process, including Logic & Accuracy Testing, to ensure translated materials are correct and consistent.
- Collaborate with the coding team in preparing ballot translations, and assist in recording audio ballots and IVR (Interactive Voice Response) recordings.
- Provide language assistance to Spanish speaking constituents, including responding to calls, inquiries, and requests for election-related information.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Elections Department.

Education and Experience- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- One (1) year of translation experience.
- U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to read and write fluently in both Spanish and English.
- Ability to type the Spanish language.
- Ability to learn and understand the general election terms.
- Must be able to work independently, under stress, and very tight deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work overtime without prior notice and work flexible hours as required.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Must be willing to travel to other locations required to participate or assist with projects.
