Location:Houston, TX (preferred location) About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Sales Hunter to drive net‑new logo acquisition within the Oil & Gas sector. This is a front‑line, high‑impact role for a proven hunter who thrives on opening new accounts, building executive relationships, and closing complex, multimillion‑dollar IT Services and Digital Transformation deals.
You will work across Upstream, OFS, E&P and Downstream segments, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver transformative technology solutions.
What You’ll Do- Acquire net‑new customers, leveraging existing Oil & Gas relationships for early momentum
- Identify, pursue, and close new logo opportunities across targeted Energy accounts
- Build and execute sales strategies for a defined Must‑Win account list
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and closure
- Build and maintain a 3x+ qualified pipeline aligned to annual revenue targets
- Engage CIOs, VPs, and business leaders with compelling, value‑led narratives
- Collaborate with solution, delivery, and alliance teams (SAP, Oracle, AWS, Microsoft, Service Now, Snowflake)
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas value chains: E&P, Field Services, Refining, Transportation
- Selling IT & Digital solutions including:
- ERP modernization (SAP S/4
HANA, Oracle) - Data, AI/ML & Advanced Analytics
- OT/IT integration, Digital Twins
- Cybersecurity & Managed Services
- ERP modernization (SAP S/4
- Awareness of industry drivers: ESG, decarbonization, regulatory changes, M&A
- 12+ years of IT Services sales experience
- 10+ years selling to Oil & Gas / Energy clients
- Proven hunter with a track record of closing $5M+ IT services deals
- Experience with RFP/RFI processes and complex deal negotiations
- Executive presence with excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Bachelor’s degree required | MBA preferred
- Experience with major Energy clients
- Familiarity with Enterprise Platforms (ERP), Cloud Platforms, Data & Analytics, Automation, AI Adoption and Operational Technologies
