Job Summary

We are seeking a Power BI Architect with advanced expertise in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise BI solutions using Power BI and the Microsoft Azure data ecosystem. This role will lead Power BI architecture decisions, establish standards and governance, optimize performance, and partner closely with stakeholders and BI teams to deliver scalable, secure analytics solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end Power BI architecture including work spaces, datasets/semantic models, deployment pipelines, report distribution, governance, and security.
  • Define and implement enterprise BI strategy, standards, and scalable architectural frameworks
    .
  • Build and optimize semantic models and strong data models (star/snowflake), including performance tuning and best practices.
  • Optimize dataset refresh
    , query performance, and model efficiency for large and complex data sources.
  • Implement governance and security frameworks including RLS, workspace architecture, and access controls.
  • Support and guide BI teams with technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural direction.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, scalable solutions.
  • Design and support ETL/ELT integration patterns and connectivity for large, complex data sources.
  • Contribute to enterprise deployment practices including CI/CD
    , Git integration, and automation.
  • Leverage Power BI REST APIs and deployment tooling to support scalable rollout and operations.
  • Travel to the office and/or client sites as required (~25%).
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in BI / analytics / data roles with strong Power BI focus.
  • Required certifications:
    • PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
    • DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer)
  • Advanced expertise with Power BI Desktop
    , Power BI Service
    , datasets, and deployment pipelines
    .
  • Strong data modeling skills (semantic models, star/snowflake schemas, performance optimization).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with one or more:
    Azure SQL, Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server
    .
  • Knowledge of Azure data ecosystem tools such as Data Factory, Data Lake, and Synapse Analytics
    .
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes and integrating large, complex data sources.
  • Experience with enterprise deployment
    , CI/CD pipelines
    , Git integration
    , and Power BI REST APIs
    .
  • Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills to collaborate, influence, and guide BI teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Power BI Premium/Fabric capacity environments.
  • Experience with Fortune 500 clients implementing enterprise BI solutions.
  • Experience reporting against SAP/SAP BW or other major ERPs.
