Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid/Flexible: in-office as needed)

A leading Texas healthcare organization is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive high‑impact analytics across clinical, operational, and strategic domains. This role blends hands‑on model development with project leadership and offers the opportunity to directly influence organizational decision‑making and patient outcomes.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a technical leader: mentor junior data scientists, guide project teams, and drive adoption of advanced analytics across the organization.
  • Build custom statistical and machine learning models, maintain existing models, and evaluate performance with rigor.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
  • Provide clear, compelling data storytelling to executives and non‑technical audiences to inform strategic decisions.
What We're Looking For:
  • 7+ years of data science experience

  • Proven experience leading data science projects end‑to‑end
    .
  • Expertise in building and managing large, complex datasets.
  • Strong command of machine learning techniques (regression, clustering, neural networks, time series, A/B testing, etc.).
  • Advanced statistical knowledge and hands‑on experience with statistical analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and modern programming languages used in data science.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to leadership
    .
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
