Overview
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 3 days/week from office)
Duration: 12 month
We are looking for an Analytics Engineer who will bridge the gap between data engineering and data analytics by building reliable data models, transforming raw data into analytics-ready datasets, and enabling stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines.
- Develop and manage analytics layers using tools like dbt, SQL, and data warehouses.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting datasets.
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize data ingestion and storage.
- Partner with data analysts and business teams to define metrics and KPIs.
- Build and maintain documentation for data models, transformations, and metrics.
- Implement best practices for version control, testing, and CI/CD in analytics workflows.
- Optimize queries and performance in cloud data warehouses.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt.
- Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Big Query, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
- Experience with data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
- Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
- Understanding of data quality frameworks and testing.
- Experience with Python for data manipulation or automation.
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or Mode.
- Exposure to modern data stacks and ELT tools (Fivetran, Airflow, Stitch, etc.).
- Experience working in Agile environments.
