Trident Consulting is seeking a "
Logistics Specialist” for one of our client in "
Houston, TX " A global leader in business and technology services.

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to support Temporary Import Bond (TIB) repair import operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of imports designated for repair and re-export, in accordance with U.S. Customs regulations.

The contractor will report to Finance and collaborate closely with Project Managers, Operations, and the NAM Customs Center of Excellence (COE) team to ensure compliance, efficiency, and proper documentation of all TIB activities.

• Execute all process steps for TIB repair imports within required timelines.
• Support NAM Customs COE with bond obligations, including documentation preparation and data gathering.
• Ensure correct customs classification and documentation compliance.
• Manage and administer the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process for items returned for repair (including Mexico and Canada).
• Coordinate with Project Managers to forecast inbound repair items.
• Ensure “Imported for Repair and Reexport” notation is properly filed on all entries.
• Track TIB timelines to ensure timely exportation or destruction to avoid penalties.
  
  Maintain complete and audit-ready records of all TIB transactions.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on TIB repair regulations and procedures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Generate monthly status reports on TIB activity, timelines, and compliance metrics.
• Ensure adherence to company compliance, legal, and safety standards.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export compliance, logistics operations, or customer processes.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Customs TIB repair regulations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and deadline management.
• Experience working with ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Experience working with customs brokerage operations.
• Experience with bonded imports for repairs.
• Oil & Gas or Energy industry experience (preferred but not required).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage deadlines and compliance-sensitive documentation.
