We are seeking an experienced Lead QA Functional Tester with 10+ years to ensure end-to-end system quality across UI, APIs, databases, and integrations. You will validate business workflows, design comprehensive test strategies, and collaborate with development teams to deliver reliable, defect-free releases.
Key Responsibilities- Design, document, and execute functional, integration, and regression tests using Jira for management and Confluence for test plans/strategies, ensuring business workflows perform as expected across all environments.
- Perform API testing with Postman (collections/environments), Swagger/OpenAPI specs, and SoapUI for legacy systems; validate REST methods, status codes, headers, and payloads for critical EQA scenarios.
- Conduct database validation using SQL (joins, subqueries, aggregates) across MySQL/Postgre
SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server to verify data consistency, reconciliation, and integrity end-to-end. - Support automation efforts by triggering UI tests (Selenium Java, Cypress/Playwright) and API tests (Rest Assured), analyzing results, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute performance testing with JMeter/Gatling for load/stress/spike scenarios, alongside basic security testing (role-based access, token validation) and integration testing (Solace/Kafka message validation, event-driven flows).
- Analyze logs and observability data for error patterns, report defects with root-cause insights via Jira, and track resolution to closure.
- Collaborate in daily stand‑ups, refine requirements with teams/business, and proactively identify risks to maintain release quality and timelines.
- Test Management:
Jira, Confluence (test plans/strategies), defect tracking. - Automation Basics:
Selenium (Java), Cypress/Playwright, Rest Assured. - Version Control:
Git. - Performance/Security: JMeter/Gatling, role-based access/token testing.
- Observability/Integration:
Log analysis, Solace/Kafka basics, message validation.
- Cloud Basics: AWS (EC2/ECS/EKS, S3, Cloud Watch), environment isolation.
