IT Business Analyst – 6‑Month Contract (Hybrid, Houston, US)

We are partnering with a leading global organisation to hire an experienced IT Business Analyst for a 6‑month contract based in Houston, US (hybrid working). This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑impact technology solutions within Trading & Supply portfolios, including Crude & Products and Product Investments.

In this role, you will bridge business strategy and technology—capturing requirements, shaping system functionality, leading stakeholder engagement, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value. You will work closely with developers, software suppliers, and cross‑functional teams, influencing decision‑making and driving process improvements across multiple initiatives.

• Align technical solutions with business strategy and identify opportunities to improve processes and performance.
• Lead stakeholder engagement, building trusted relationships and facilitating large‑scale design and requirement sessions.
• Capture business problems, value drivers, and detailed requirements and translate them into clear, actionable system functionality.
• Assess risks, feasibility, dependencies, and business impact across initiatives.
• Maintain clear, traceable documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment through to testing and final delivery.
• Oversee Business Analysis activities for multiple projects, setting direction and proposing improvements.
• Produce business cases for approval and funding.
• Support system configuration, documentation, and validation activities with development and supplier teams.
• Coach junior Business Analysts and contribute to best‑practice methodologies and BA frameworks.
• Ensure full traceability through testing cycles, scope changes, and solution validation.
• Lead or support SIT, UAT, and other assurance phases.

• Strong Trading & Supply experience (required).
• Hands‑on Endur experience (required).
• Proficiency in Cmotion
  , Deal Capture
  , Settlements & Accounting
  , and Tax processes.
• Strong knowledge of business process improvement, value identification, and risk management.
• 7–10 years IT experience
  , including leadership of Business Analysts.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
• Solid analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience working in Agile frameworks; ability to guide teams in Agile practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.

• CBAP or PMI‑PBA
• Agile training or certifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
• 10+ years corporate IT experience, including 4+ years as an IT Business Analyst.
• Strong familiarity with emerging technologies and ability to learn quickly.
