Sr. Engineering Manager, ServiceNow

As an engineering manager for the Service Now platform, you’ll guide architecture and development for critical business workflow & AI implementations. You’ll manage a team of developers and engineers, making executable business processes that leverage AI capabilities and fit into our automation ecosystem. As an essential part of our scaling story for both business operations and technological capabilities, you’ll devise solutions that serve as leverage for thousands of employees and drive efficient growth.

Your team will work as part of our Engineering & AI organization, focusing on scalability and correctness with a modern toolchain. This a value‑delivery role with executive visibility, not a cost‑center role, and provides a chance to perform a greenfield implementation aligned with a key set of strategic goals.

• Establishing a platform
• Establish and maintain SLAs
• Integrate Service Now with company‑wide observability and tracing standards
• Build automated deployment and testing workflows, delivering a modern development lifecycle built around version control with continuous validation and deployment
• Define default design guidelines and architectural principles to maintain sanity in a rapidly‑growing environment
• Manage costs and resource scaling
• Building solutions
• Design solutions to targeted business needs, selecting from key capabilities like Flow Designer, Case Management/Playbooks, Integration Hub, Service Now’s AI capabilities
• Use additional programming and engineering tools to extend beyond Service Now’s capabilities where needed
• Craft solutions with a security‑first, observability‑first mindset
• Growing the team
• Shape team roles to drive the right team structure
• Run a structured & intentional hiring process to bring in top talent
• Establish key relationships with business domain leaders to train or embed focused development teams
• Other duties as assigned

• Comfortable with at least one common programming language (Python, Typescript) and SQL
• Database and distributed system fundamentals
• Experience with our core stack (Python, Kafka, Postgres, AWS)

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse and other computer components
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Attendance and presence at work‑site is an expectation

• 5+ years developing on the Service Now platform
• Deep understanding of Service Now product portfolio—what to use, what to avoid, and how to optimize
• Experience working in Service Now environments with 1000+ active users

• Professional certification may be required in some areas.
