Our client is an industry-leading organization looking for a Senior Systems Programmer with deep expertise in Mainframe Support, Z/OS Systems Programming, and Enterprise Storage Administration. • Lead mainframe storage administration including SMS, HSM, DS8000, TS7700, tape systems, allocation, DR, and backup/recovery
• Manage tickets, incidents, and escalations in Service Now
• Perform upgrades, installations, and tuning for Z/OS and third-party mainframe tools
• Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis in large-scale environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—application programmers, infrastructure engineers, platform architects, and operations
• Support critical workloads in a high-uptime, enterprise environment

• Proven experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer or Senior Z/OS Programmer
• Strong background in mainframe storage administration, including SMS/HSM
• Expertise with DS8000, TS7700, and enterprise-class storage systems
• Hands-on experience with FDR, tape services, backup and recovery solutions
• Ability to support on-call rotation in a 24/7 production environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex escalations
