This position is at the Kingwood Campus

Job duties and Responsibilities

* Monitors the operation of the general computer lab

* Assists with Software installations if needed

* Greets students as they come into the general computer area

* Performs other duties as assigned

* Provides data entry for the Help Desk Ticketing System

* Provides first Tier user support to students and faculty

* Performs opening and/or closing procedures; and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Must have good telephone etiquette and good customer service skills

* Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Internet browsers, MS Office Professional Suit, and other applications

* Must be a self-starter in exercising initiative with the ability to get things done by performing daily tasks effectively

* Solve basic routine Software and Hardware issues as necessary

Qualifications:

* Must be a current UHD student

* Must be able to work the evening shift (4 pm to 9 pm) and/or split shift

* Experience requirements:
Less than one year
