We are seeking an experienced Service Now Certified SAM Pro Technical Consultant to help clients improve and optimize their existing SAM Pro instance in alignment with industry best practices. This is a W-2 contract role with an all-inclusive hourly rate of $75, based in Houston, TX (on-site to hybrid). The consultant will work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure the SAM Pro module is fully leveraged to meet both tactical and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities include requirements gathering, implementation support, integration with IT systems, troubleshooting, compliance assurance, and performance monitoring. The role also entails delivering training, providing subject matter expertise, and collaborating across teams to align solutions with business and operational goals.

• Assess and enhance the client's existing SAM Pro instance to maximize value and efficiency.
• Ensure SAM Pro configurations and workflows align with industry best practices and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate with SAM and cross-functional teams to provide hands-on support and guidance.
• Gather requirements, configure workflows, and integrate SAM Pro with other IT systems.
• Deliver training sessions and knowledge transfer on SAM Pro best practices.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on SAM Pro performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Troubleshoot issues and advise on enhancements, configurations, and process improvements.
• Support compliance with relevant frameworks and governance standards.

• Strong understanding of Software Asset Management (SAM) principles, processes, and governance.
• Extensive, hands-on experience with SAM Pro in large enterprise environments.
• Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist – SAM Pro (CIS-SAM) (required).
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) (required).
• Completion of Service Now SAM Pro Fundamentals Training (instructor-led or on-demand) (required).
• Proven track record of improving and scaling SAM Pro implementations.
• Proficiency in software development, integration, and database technologies.
• Expertise in IT Service Management and Project Management (desired, but not required).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams and deliver within deadlines.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, ITIL) is an advantage.
• Experience training, mentoring, and enabling teams on SAM Pro functionalities.
• Previous experience implementing and operating SAM Pro in the Oil and Gas industry is ideal, but not required.
