INTL - MEX - Power BI Developer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking in Guadalajara, Mexico for a Power BI Developer to join a global team for one of our large oil and gas clients. This person will be responsible for supporting an enterprise wide application to design, develop, and troubleshoot various applications for the client into BI solutions. The successful candidate is highly experienced with self-sufficiency, extensive knowledge and experience across multiple technologies.

This position will also play a key technical role requiring expert level skills in the design, development and implementation of data warehousing and BI solutions. This person will work with a global team to support and maintain the existing application. This role will require someone who is local to Guadalajara and willing to go on-site 2 days a week.

• Expert in the design, development, automation, and support of complex processes to extract, transform and load data into SQL Data Store and Data Warehouse environments using Visual Studio and Microsoft's SQL Stack tools (SSMS, SSIS).
• Thorough knowledge in developing complete SSIS packages including development of stored procedures, connections, tasks, control flows, data flows, parameters, event handlers and variables.
• Expert in the development of data warehouses and BI solutions.
• Advanced knowledge in developing, updating, managing, and monitoring SQL.
• Expert in SSAS tabular modeling and the use of partitions and perspectives along with expert knowledge of DAX expressions/statements and queries. Experience with performance tuning and sizing of SSAS environment is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Azure is required.
• Experience in the development of SSRS and Power BI reporting with a thorough understanding of the DAX language.
