On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Project Manager - Data Center for a contract role. This position is onsite at our client's Houston office.

Project Manager - Data Center - Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple IT initiatives during a period of organizational growth and transition. This role involves managing data center migrations, cloud transformations, and application integrations, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.

Project Manager - Data Center - Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple IT infrastructure and systems projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports

• Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, applications, vendors, and business stakeholders

• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and resource constraints, and implement mitigation strategies

• Manage data center migration projects, including moving on-premise environments to Azure Cloud

• Oversee infrastructure initiatives involving cloud vs. on-premise environments, site additions, site decommissions, and technology refreshes

• Support IT efforts related to company acquisitions, including onboarding new environments and assisting with data center consolidation and integration

Project Manager - Data Center - Mandatory Skills:

• 7+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, with a strong focus on infrastructure and enterprise IT projects

• Proven experience managing data center migrations, cloud transformations, and application integrations

• Hands-on experience supporting IT initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, data-intensive projects across multiple stakeholders

• Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms (especially Microsoft Azure), on-premise and hybrid environments, networking, servers, storage, and security concepts

• Strong familiarity with Microsoft-centric environments, including Azure services and Windows platforms

• Advanced Excel skills (data tracking, analysis, reporting)

Project Manager - Data Center - Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)

• Experience working in fast-growing or acquisition-driven organizations

Project Manager - Data Center - Assignment Length:
This position is initially a contract role with the potential to convert to permanent employment, depending on business needs.
