Python Data Engineer

Senior Data Engineer – Energy & Commodities – USA - Full-time

You will contribute towards expanding data assets in support of their growing analytical capabilities. You will work closely with Traders, SWE's and DS to gather requirements and deliver a wide range of data related needs.

You will be more focused on Python development rather than cloud engineering in this role and is in the office 5 days per week.

• Experience with in energy or commodities / trading environments
• Demonstrable Python development skills including using pandas, Num Py
• Experience with Data Engineering and building data pipelines
• Build and support efficient ETL processes for reliable data ingestion and access.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document requirements for data flows and reporting
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to speak business and other tech teams
• Bonus points for containerization solutions like Docker and Kubernetes
• MSc
  in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
