Network Engineer

Network Engineer – Energy & Commodities – Houston, USA – Full-time

As a Network Engineer, your main task is to ensure the day-to-day network operation and monitoring, find and technically solve problems related to network with a business-oriented approach. You will also maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, troubleshooting network problems, and escalating problems to vendor, office, datacenter and remote locations.

You will work closely with global technology teams to gather requirements and deliver a wide range of networking related needs.

• Demonstrable experience in network engineering in a global, regulated environment.
• BSc or MSc in Networking or closely related field.
• Strong preference for any exposure within energy or commodities / trading environments.
• Very strong technical skills on Cisco Equipment –
  CCNP certification preferred.
• Implement and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls for network security and access control.
• Python expertise - automation and any further skills very advantageous.
• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, refine, and document requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions.
• Strong communication and
  stakeholder management skills — able to speak business and other tech teams.
• Design, implement, and secure LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN networks.
• Manage Cisco ISE (802.1x, RADIUS, TACACS).
• Oversee proxy and firewall solutions (McAfee, Zscaler, Palo Alto).
• Manage F5 LTM/GTM
  , WAF (F5 Silverline), and telephony (SBC/Teams) environments.

• Networking: Cisco routing/switching (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, Catalyst, Nexus).
• Automation: Python, Ansible.
• Security: Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ISE, proxy solutions (Zscaler/McAfee).
• Monitoring & Management: Solar Winds NPM/NCM, Thousand Eyes.
• F5: LTM/GTM, WAF (Silverline).
• Wireless: Aruba Cisco Meraki Wi-Fi.
• Cloud: Azure, AWS, GCP.
• Telephony: Audiocode SBC + Teams voice.
