Manager, Talent Acquisition at Commonwealth LNG

Position Summary: Caturus Energy is searching for an experienced Data Scientist to join our growing Operations team. This role is a technical individual contributor role, focused on supporting business opportunities through the use of data analytics, BI tools, machine learning models, and AI.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources such as ERP, SCADA, and Fabric into datasets and actionable reports/visualizations, collaborating with engineers and additional departments, as needed.
  • Utilizing SQL, Python, Power BI, and Spotfire for data analytics
  • Own the creation and maintenance of dashboards/reports for repeated workflows
  • Conduct periodic data audits to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify data requirements, reporting gaps, and perform analysis on drivers impacting LOE, Capital, and Production
  • Develop, maintain, distribute, and provide training on standardized tools for analyzing LOE, Capital, and Production
  • Seek and implement opportunities to streamline current processes around data entry, data QC, report distribution, and provide solutions on optimization of existing processes
  • Provide support for strategic planning activities, including monthly business review reporting
  • Other duties as assigned and trained on, including assisting technical team by updating wellbore schematics, tracking AFEs, gathering data from well files, updating presentations, etc.
Qualifications:

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a relevant or similar role
  • Power BI experience required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proven experience and/or education in data analytics and management of large datasets
  • Proficiency in Spotfire and Fabric; experience with Combo Curve, Aries, and Well View a plus.
  • Domain familiarity with upstream oil & gas workflows (subsurface and operations) and the ability to translate expert knowledge into tools and reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to in a fast-paced and fluid environment; flexible with the demands of a growing company
  • Strong coaching, prioritization, and stakeholder‑management skills; able to convert business problems into robust, scalable model solutions and communicate outcomes clearly.
