Lead Application Analyst - Digital Health Institute
We are looking for a skilled Lead Application Analyst to join our team at Houston Methodist. The Lead Application Analyst will provide expert-level support, configuration, and implementation of assigned applications, serve as the primary point of contact for resolving issues, guide junior analysts, and work closely with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiencies.

Qualifications- Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field,
* or* licensed clinical or certified IT professional experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. - Experience
:- Five years of direct support and/or development of clinical or business applications.
- Experience supporting large-scale clinical, ancillary, or business environments.

:- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English at a level required for job responsibilities.
- Strong communication ability with patients, physicians, families, and colleagues.
- Expert knowledge of multiple healthcare applications and clinical or business workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership and influence to meet team goals.
- Desire to pursue a management career path.
- Ability to lead projects independently.
- Expert system management and engineering solutions with IT customers and vendors.
- Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies applied to system implementations.
- Initiates and maintains positive relationships with key customers and co‑workers.
- Participates in interview processes for hiring, provides input on annual evaluations, and assists with team‑building exercises.
- Acts as role model and mentor for team members.
- Communicates proactively with customers regarding updates, alerts, outages, disaster management, and change control.
- Develops clear messaging to customers and management on issue resolution plans and status updates.
- Directs deliverables, distributes work assignments, and manages large‑scale projects.
- Coordinates discovery, planning, or follow‑up sessions with customers and team members; translates business requirements into viable solutions and re‑engineers workflows for anticipated benefits.
- Implements and supports large, complex applications with application analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation expertise.
- Conducts high‑level administration of applications to ensure quality delivery of availability and evaluates work output of team members.
- Sets, monitors, and meets Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with key customers; monitors and evaluates project outcomes.
- Identifies solutions to optimize performance of existing systems; gains customer consensus and implements approved changes.
- Provides input to departmental budgeting processes.
- Encourages innovation, continuous improvement, and growth within the team.
- Seeks opportunities to stay current with technology relevant to the team and roadmap; evaluates and recommends new technologies.
- Ensures consistency in changes to processes, tools, and overall practices; leads initiatives and pursues professional development.
