The Principal Solution Architect plays a central role at New Math Data, serving as both a technical leader and a strategic advisor. This position blends technical pre-sales, delivery management, and account growth into a single high-impact role. Principal Solution Architects lead from the front—crafting forward-looking solutions, guiding high-performing teams, and building lasting client relationships.

You’ll work directly with client stakeholders to understand their business challenges, design modern cloud and AI-based solutions, and oversee delivery execution. You’ll also act as a key interface to AWS, collaborating with partner managers, solution architects, and marketplace teams to co-develop opportunities and advance our strategic engagements.

This is a client-facing leadership role best suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business value, and delivery execution.

1. Pre-Sales & Solutioning

• Serve as a trusted advisor during the sales cycle: lead discovery sessions, assess customer needs, and propose tailored technical solutions.
• Architect high-level approaches across cloud, data, and AI domains—including generative AI, data lakehouse platforms, and cloud-native application replatforming.
• Collaborate with AWS partner teams and internal sales leadership to develop joint go-to-market opportunities.

2. Delivery Leadership

• Act as the New Math Data executive sponsor on key engagements, providing oversight and technical direction across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Serve as the escalation point for strategic accounts, managing expectations, resolving blockers, and steering toward successful outcomes.
• Uphold delivery excellence by aligning project execution with New Math Data standards, stakeholder goals, and AWS best practices.

3. Account Growth & Opportunity Development

• Identify follow-on opportunities within existing accounts and shape these into viable projects or strategic initiatives.
• Maintain situational awareness of client organizations, understanding their evolving business needs, technical gaps, and strategic priorities.
• Contribute to account planning and revenue forecasting in collaboration with practice leadership.

4. AWS Ecosystem Engagement

• Actively engage with AWS partner teams to advance co-sell motions, participate in immersion days or joint workshops, and support funding programs (e.g., POC credits, MAP).
• Represent New Math Data in AWS ecosystem events and initiatives, contributing to thought leadership, go-to-market content, and partner enablement.

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, solution architecture, or technical delivery in data, cloud, or AI/ML domains.
• Strong pre-sales experience: able to lead technical discovery and craft compelling proposals aligned to client needs.
• Proven success managing technical teams and delivering complex, multi-workstream projects on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Deep familiarity with AWS services related to data engineering, AI/ML, analytics, and application modernization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills—able to interface with executive, business, and technical audiences.
• Experience with the AWS partner ecosystem, including APN programs, co-sell motions, and joint opportunity development, is strongly preferred.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial consulting environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent work streams.
