Required Industry Knowledge

• Understanding of all major global futures exchanges
• Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets / Investment Banks – to bring credible externalization of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value competitive
• Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms
• Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines

• Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery
• Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users
• Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives
• Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams
• Analyze and map RFQ, order and trade life cycles to help formulate solutions that will improve quality & efficiency across our trading systems
• Hands‑on experience in delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way. Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance (e.g. MIFID2 & RTS6) is highly desirable

• Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, Trading Screen)
• Experience working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Experience in analyzing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g. MIFID II, MAD/MAR)
• Solid relevant experience in FIX Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and propose innovative solutions
• Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
• Experience with application support and vendor management
• Strong experience in exchange certification, application Deployment and support
• Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, Power Shell, C#, SQL or other programming languages
• Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded
