Position

Summary

Join an innovative team to ride the rapidly‑evolving and highly dynamic wave of AI, ML, and Generative AI, with a keen eye on responsible AI adoption, governance, and value realization. We are seeking a Senior Manager, AI Governance & Adoption, with deep expertise in governance, AI, organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and technology enablement. This role will operationalize and maintain AI governance frameworks, drive measurable value from AI initiatives, and lead enterprise‑wide change and adoption programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in similar industries, and a proven track record in digital transformation and AI program management.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, maintain, operationalize and promote Oceaneering's AI governance framework, including policies, controls, risk‑tiering, and compliance.
  • Lead cross‑functional governance councils, ensuring alignment across Legal, Compliance, IT, Engineering and Business Units.
  • Develop and manage an AI initiative portfolio dashboard, tracking KPIs, adoption, ROI, and risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with functions and segments to baseline and measure operational improvements, cost savings, and risk reduction from AI initiatives.
  • Champion organizational change management and adoption programs for AI, including M365 Copilot and Copilot Chat as well as out‑of‑the‑box agents and custom agents.
  • Build and activate change networks, champion communities, and executive engagement strategies to drive adoption and sustain outcomes.
  • Design and deliver role‑based training, communications, and enablement materials for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, translating AI governance and value narratives for executive and board audiences.
  • Author and maintain AI use policies, acceptable use guidelines, and incident response protocols.
  • Monitor AI governance maturity, adoption, and risk indicators, driving remediation and continuous enhancement.
  • Stay informed on the latest developments in data technology and integrate new and relevant technologies into our AI governance architecture and processes.
  • Participate in the Data and AI Community of Practice, presenting on a quarterly basis.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership coaching, and executive communications skills.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in governance and value measurement.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with organizational change management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with program/project management.
  • Technical proficiency in generative AI, prompt engineering, and agentic AI.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks and risk management.
  • Working knowledge of AI regulations and standards.
  • Working knowledge of various data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, lakehouse, data fabric, etc.) and data architecture principles.
  • Working knowledge of the software lifecycle and software engineering best practices, including specification, documentation, configuration management, testing and quality assurance.

DESIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • At least 2 years in a formal data leadership position.
  • Familiarity with Agile or Lean programming practices.
  • Experience in energy, resources, or industrial sectors.
