Technology Lead Data Modeler

Job Overview

Infosys is seeking an Data Modeler with experience in building large data warehouse and data lakes. The position will primarily be responsible for interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or be willing to relocate to the area.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in a specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Proficiency in Data Modeling using tools like ERWIN.
• ETL development experience with strong SQL background such as Python/R, Scala, Java, Hive, Spark, Kafka.
• Preferable hands‑on in Data bricks and coming from strong data background with Pyspark/Python proficiency - Overall experience of 8+ years.
• Create and maintain data models, analyze & design the data models and lead the implementation.
• Candidate must have deeper understanding of the data foundation w.r.to logical/physical models, support the transformation of the business data into usable data models.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts & business users as needed.

• Experience with any traditional RDBMS (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, DB2).
• Data analysis / Data mapping skills.
• CI / CD exposure.

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
