Senior Application Support Engineer – Industrial Digital Solutions

Our client is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer who enjoys tackling complex technical challenges, working with global teams, and helping customers get the most from advanced industrial software platforms. In this role, you will act as a subject matter specialist for asset and process data systems used in large-scale industrial environments, supporting customers to improve reliability, performance, and operational insight.

Location: Houston, TX preferred; other U.S. company locations may be considered.

Relocation support: Available.

Work model: Hybrid and flexible.

• Provide expert-level technical assistance to customers worldwide, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
• Collaborate across international support and engineering teams to diagnose and resolve advanced system and application issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation, shared knowledge libraries, and self-service resources to help customers solve problems independently.
• Improve support effectiveness by creating tools, refining workflows, and participating in best‑practice forums.
• Support new product rollouts through early testing, internal training, and readiness activities.
• Meet or exceed service targets for response times, resolution quality, and customer satisfaction.

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, science, or information technology from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of hands‑on experience supporting or delivering industrial software solutions, including process data historian platforms and exposure to asset performance or manufacturing execution systems.

• Degree in Chemical, Process, Control, or Instrumentation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft IIS and SQL Server environments, with proven troubleshooting experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capabilities and attention to detail.
• Practical understanding of how asset and process data systems are used in heavy or continuous process industries.
• Curious, proactive, and motivated to continuously expand technical expertise.
