Hardware/Software Technician (Part-time) - Staff Pool

Summary:
Install and repair personal computer hardware.
- Install, modify, troubleshoot and repair personal computer hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure good operating conditions.
- Communicate with users to detect possible problems.
- Assist in the evaluation of new equipment to be supported by the Technical Support area.
- Maintain inventory to ensure maintenance and repair of computers.
- Maintain up-to-date virus protection.
- Perform regular hard drive clean‑up and maintenance.
- Maintain files for software documentation.
- Research and test new software packages.
Associate’s degree or certification in a related field required. Two (2) years directly related work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
One (1) year recent experience in hard/software technical support (HCCS experience is considered on a two for one basis).
Demonstrated competencies in computer hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
