Description

This position is at the Kingwood Campus.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Monitors the operation of the general computer lab
• Assists with Software installations if needed
• Greets students as they come into the general computer area
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Provides data entry for the Help Desk Ticketing System
• Provides first Tier user support to students and faculty
• Performs opening and/or closing procedures; and other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Must have good telephone etiquette and good customer service skills
• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Internet browsers, MS Office Professional Suit, and other applications
• Must be a self-starter in exercising initiative with the ability to get things done by performing daily tasks effectively
• Solve basic routine Software and Hardware issues as necessary

Qualifications

• Must be a current UHD student
• Must be able to work the evening shift (4 pm to 9 pm) and/or split shift
• Experience requirements:
  Less than one year
