Location:
Houston, TX (Hybrid) so need only local applicants.

Duration or Type: 1 Year contract with possible extension.

Note:

The candidate must be in Houston or local to Houston and willing to go into the office several days/week.
The person needs to be onsite in Houston from Day 1.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Onshore Test Lead to drive automation testing efforts for a high-performance, consumer-facing connectivity platform. This role is hands‑on, with responsibility for test planning, automation scripting, execution, and mentoring a team of testers. The successful candidate will bring solid expertise in Test Complete
, API testing
, and agile QA practices
, and will work closely with developers, Dev Ops, and product teams to ensure the highest software quality standards.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands‑on experience in Test Complete (minimum 3+ years).
• Minimum 5 years overall experience in test automation.
• Experience in designing modular, data-driven, and keyword-driven frameworks
  .
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation integration.
• Exposure to API testing and integration with tools like Ready
  
  API/Postman is a plus.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance automation frameworks using Test Complete (for Web, Desktop, and Mobile).
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application logic and align automation coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration automation testing.
• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Clienture Dev Ops, or similar).
• Apply shift‑left testing practices to identify defects early in the lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation of automation design, test cases, and execution results.
• Collaborate with QA and Dev Ops teams to ensure high‑quality releases.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber or Behave.
• Experience in Version Control Systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
