As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls team, you are an integral part of an agile team that delivers software solutions to meet pre‑defined functional and user requirements while preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and apply deep technical expertise and problem‑solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of cybersecurity challenges spanning multiple technology domains.
Job Responsibilities- Design and build software solutions for security projects
- Mentor junior security engineers
- Facilitate security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi‑level security that satisfies organizational needs
- Work with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
- Be responsible for triaging based on risk assessments of various threats and managing resources to cover impact of disruptive events
- Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Experience planning, designing, building, and implementing enterprise‑level security engineering products and solutions in a public cloud environment (i.e., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Advanced in one or more programming languages/scripts (i.e., C/C#, Python, Power Shell).
- Knowledgeable in secure software application development and technical processes with considerable in‑depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile).
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins), version control tools (Bit Bucket, Git), managing and tracking work using tools like Jira.
- Experience building security engineering products and solutions.
- Knowledge of Windows Workstation OSs (Windows 10/Windows 11 and virtual platforms) and/or Mac OSX.
- Understanding of Active Directory concepts and practical implementation of GPO management.
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Experience with in Cyber Security.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Prior experience in the finance industry is a huge plus.
