Senior Network/Systems Administrator – (WIS) Wellbore Integrity Solutions

Overview Of Position

The NAM IT Sr. Network/Systems Administrator is responsible for the strategy, execution, and support of all North America infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, and endpoint configurations. The role leads infrastructure initiatives in coordination with the Global IT team, manages relationships with vendors and service providers, and provides escalated technical support. It reports directly to the Global Infrastructure Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of NAM IT infrastructure—including network, server, and endpoint environments
  • Provide elevated support to the NAM Service Desk team as needed and assist with complex incident resolution
  • Collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Managed Services Provider (MSP) to ensure service delivery and SLA adherence
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address operational issues and bottlenecks
  • Support, manage, and maintain local and cloud-based infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure integrations
  • Partner with the Global Infrastructure Manager to standardize configurations, align on architecture, and support global initiatives
  • Coordinate with the Cybersecurity team to identify and remediate security risks, implement technical controls, and assist in response efforts
  • Participate in or lead incident response, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning activities for NAM
  • Evaluate infrastructure tools, vendors, and technologies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Assist with IT procurement processes, vendor evaluations, contract management, and budgeting for NAM IT systems
  • Oversee the management and tracking of IT assets, including lifecycle management and end-of-life planning
  • Define and implement technical documentation standards and ensure they are consistently applied
  • Ensure systems are patched regularly and kept current, with appropriate maintenance windows and communication
  • Contribute to IT policy development and enforce best practices across infrastructure and service delivery
  • Analyze business requirements and develop infrastructure solutions to support cross-functional teams
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to technical team members when applicable
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; OR 15+ years of progressive IT experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure roles, with at least 3 in a leadership or escalation-level position
  • Advanced expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP;
    Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, Co‑Pilot); network protocols and firewalls (Cisco/Meraki/Fortinet preferred); virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and backup systems
  • Strong working knowledge of IT security principles, patch management, and endpoint protection
  • Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSPs) and cross‑functional global IT teams
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve escalated technical issues
  • Familiarity with project management practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Experience with automation, scripting (Power Shell), or AI‑assisted tools is a plus
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (Service Now, Fresh Service, etc.)
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOX)
  • Cloud migration or hybrid cloud environment experience
