AWS Global Sales (AGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Solutions Architects at Amazon Web Services (AWS) build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor. In this specific role, you will work with AWS customers and industry domain experts to create the architectures for solutions to Life Science industry challenges. You will not only design and build these solutions, but continue to refine and scale them by working closely with AWS Professional Services, AWS Partners, and customers.
This role requires hands-on experience in application integration design, solid knowledge of business software application design stemming from domain-driven design, and micro-services and component-based architectures. This knowledge needs to be paired with industry domain expertise in areas such as applied AI and the development and deployment of industry solutions. Candidates for this role need experience with applications, use cases, user experiences, and challenges in large enterprise gained by working in architect or developer roles within the domain.
Candidates should have insights on how cloud-based software solutions are built, including but not limited to the handling of sensitive data, process observability, and audit readiness.
You will also participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate about AWS technology and industry trends (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).
This role will include up to 30% travel.

Have a strong understanding of large scale computing solutions. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as an architect or software development engineer.
You will enjoy keeping your existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS.

Basic Qualifications- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Knowledge of cloud architecture
- 5+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
