Job Summary:The Compensation Analyst supports the design and administration of competitive, equitable compensation programs by maintaining accurate salary benchmarks and pay baselines. This role partners closely with the VP of Compensation and leadership to ensure compensation decisions are informed by market data, internal alignment, and organizational philosophy.
Responsibilities:- Maintain and update salary benchmarks and compensation baselines using external market surveys and internal data.
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of salary ranges, job levels, and pay structures.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and internal equity reviews to ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
- Support annual compensation processes including merit, bonus, and incentive planning.
- Perform compensation analysis and reporting using advanced Excel tools and models.
- Assist with job evaluations and job matching to ensure accurate market pricing.
- Prepare clear, easy-to-understand compensation summaries and recommendations for HR and leadership.
- Ensure compensation practices align with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or HR analytics.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling; macros a plus).
- Experience using compensation surveys and benchmarking methodologies.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and interpret data accurately.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate compensation concepts clearly.
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or progress toward certification.
- Familiarity with pay equity analysis and compliance requirements.
