Our client in North Houston is seeking a well-rounded HR Generalist to support leaders and employees across multiple business functions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, partnering closely with leadership, and using data and judgment to drive people decisions in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities- Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and leadership, advising on people strategy, policy interpretation, and day-to-day employee matters
- Act as a first point of contact for employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance coaching support
- Support workforce planning, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives
- Lead and support recruiting efforts in partnership with hiring managers, from intake through offer
- Analyze compensation data and provide guidance to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal HR standards
- Leverage HR metrics and reporting to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover drivers, and partner with leadership on retention strategies
- Contribute to the design, rollout, and continuous improvement of HR programs and processes
- Provide ongoing updates and insights to HR leadership on initiatives, outcomes, and business impact
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or partner-style role
- Strong working knowledge of core HR disciplines including employee relations, talent management, compensation, compliance, and recruiting
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Confident communicator who asks thoughtful questions and gets to the root of issues
- Comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day execution
- Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
- Experience supporting leaders in engineering, construction, oil & gas, or similarly complex environments
- Prior experience advising leaders on organizational change or growth planning
