The Recruiting Specialist will assist the recruiting department. The position will support all Chamberlain Hrdlicka offices and will be based in Houston, Texas or Atlanta, Georgia. This position reports to the Lateral Recruiting & Integration Manager and Professional Development and Talent Acquisition Manager. This position is non-exempt and requires four days in the office with one remote day.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist with the attorney recruiting cycle from beginning to end in coordination with the Recruiting Managers such as sourcing, interviews, conflicts and due diligence, and integration
- Research and source candidates through Linked In Recruiter, Firm Prospects, and legal websites
- Gather, analyze, and report market intel from multiple legal sources
- Process recruiting-related expenses and invoices, including candidate travel reimbursements and search firm payments
- Facilitate and schedule interviews/callbacks with candidates and appropriate Firm personnel
- Coordinate travel and lodging for out-of-town candidates
- Assist with tracking and payments of employee referral bonus program
- Maintain applicant tracking system and document management systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date candidate records, and supporting materials
- Draft, publish, and manage job postings and job descriptions on internal and external platforms
- Assist the Lateral Recruiting and Integration Manager with lateral integration by preparing checklists, creating orientation materials, and communicating with internal departments
- Assist the Professional Development and Talent Acquisition Manager with entry-level recruiting and integration which includes summer associate programs, law school recruiting, and first year integration program
- Join and participate in local and national legal recruiting associations (NALP) to maintain knowledge of policies/procedures relating to attorney hiring, orientation, and development
- Assist with logistics for Firm committees such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and Recruiting Committees
- Occasionally, travel to other offices
- Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in related role; recruiting in a law firm or professional services firm required
- Experience with applicant tracking system preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Skilled at managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates a proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute innovative ideas
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities
