Talent & Leadership Development Manager Americas

Reporting to the Head of HR for the region and serving as a key member of the Americas HR leadership team, this role will design and deliver strategic talent, performance, learning, and leadership development initiatives that foster organizational, personal, and professional growth, in alignment with Fugro’s mission and values.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead by example and place Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and the protection of the Environment as core values while never intentionally placing employees, our processes, customers, or the communities in which we live and work at risk.
  • Partner with global and regional leadership to design and execute the Americas talent vision and strategy, aligned with business goals.
  • Lead a team across Talent Management and Talent Acquisition, driving performance, engagement, and capability building to meet evolving business needs.
  • Champion and enable team development and opportunities for growth.
  • Oversee regional Talent Acquisition strategy, scaling capabilities and optimizing resources.
  • Embed key analytics in workforce strategic planning and recruitment effectiveness evaluations.
  • In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team in North America, guide initiatives such as campus recruiting, partnerships with universities and trade schools, and other business‑specific programs.
  • Own core people processes, including performance management, development planning, and talent planning.
  • Further enhance succession planning strategy and needs.
  • Facilitate executive‑level talent reviews and educate stakeholders on Fugro’s talent planning framework and philosophy.
  • Assess leadership development needs and design fit‑for‑purpose resources leveraging Fugro’s leadership model.
  • Build innovative career development tools to engage employees and promote cross‑training, and support internal mobility through regional talent councils and forums.
  • Implement global learning programs in the Americas region, including participant selection and facilitation where needed.
  • Partner with global learning team to identify capability gaps and determine regional approaches.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Excellence leaders to deploy programs that enhance commercial capabilities.
  • Define and execute assessment strategies (e.g., 360s, leadership potential).
  • Use data and analytics to evaluate talent bench strength, capability gaps and program effectiveness.
  • Leverage engagement data, trends and needs to drive initiatives across the region.
  • Actively participate in external forums to strengthen Fugro’s employer brand and adopt talent best practices.
  • Support the Head of HR with leadership communications (townhalls, executive updates, etc.) and strategic organizational development projects.
Job Requirements
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Have 8 years of progressive experience in HR, Organizational Development, Talent Management, or Learning & Development.
  • Proven experience building and leading teams.
  • Strategic mindset with high learning agility, proactive approach, and ability to drive change.
  • Strong influencing and collaboration skills; comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and leveraging data.
  • Excellent presentation and storytelling skills.
