Human Resources Administrative Assistant
We are a fast-growing software development company in the restaurant, hospitality and small business retail industries providing POS and business solutions. Are you detail-oriented, organized, and ready to grow your career in finance? We are looking for an enthusiastic and high-performing HR Assistant to join our team!
Key Responsibilities- Schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communication, and support the recruiting workflow.
- Conduct reference checks and assist with background screening.
- Prepare new hire documentation, onboarding materials, and system accounts.
- Support new hire orientation and ensure a smooth first-day experience.
- Maintain and update employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files with high accuracy.
- Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and general inquiries.
- Prepare HR reports, trackers, and dashboards as needed.
- Serve as an initial point of contact for employee questions and route requests appropriately.
- Assist with employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and event coordination.
- Support internal communication and company policy updates.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of HR data and sensitive employee information.
- Assist with audit preparation, document collection, and policy adherence checks.
- 1–2 years of HR, administrative, or office coordination experience preferred.
- Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS), recruitment platforms is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Customer‑service mindset with a willingness to help employees at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, growing environment.
- Interest in learning HR processes and advancing in the HR field.
