HR Business Partner – ENGIE North America Inc.

As our HR Business Partner, your role will be based in our Houston, TX office. Your primary responsibility revolves around providing strategic leadership and guidance to assigned groups, with a focus on human resource planning, program development, and optimization. You will collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) to deliver HR services aligned with the organization’s short, medium, and long‑term business strategies.

This comprehensive role extends support to designated groups and other ENGIE North America office locations, emphasizing the promotion of programs, policies, and fostering positive employee engagement. Your daily tasks involve effective collaboration with business leaders to manage employee relations and performance, strategic coaching on key HR strategy such as succession planning, career path development, and performance management. You will lead talent assessments and facilitate onboarding and off‑boarding processes.

You will manage leaves of absence in accordance with company policy and applicable laws, conduct investigations, and serve as an HR Project Manager for acquisitions and divestitures. You will also collaborate with Mobility for inpat/expat assignments, international transfers, and visa processes to broaden the organization’s global reach.

What You’ll Bring
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field and have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist or similar role with progressive responsibility.
  • Hold or be pursuing an active Professional Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM‑CP) certification.
  • Demonstrate expertise in making sound strategic HR decisions and talent assessment, contributing to organizational success.
  • Adapt to changing environments, navigate complexity, and strategically promote an inclusive/diverse workforce.
  • Confidently voice opinions, remain open to new ideas, and deliver tough feedback or coaching to leadership.
  • Collaborate within a team, embrace humility, and learn from mistakes to create a positive team environment.
  • Show strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and energize and lead in complex, matrix, goal‑driven organizations.
Additional Details
  • Eligible for our hybrid work policy: in‑office (3 days per week) and work‑from‑home opportunities (2 days per week).
  • Available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time, including some overnight trips.
  • Willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
Compensation

Salary Range: $86,100 – $132,022 USD annually.

Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus/incentive plan.
