Craft Recruiter
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Lead
Position Status: Permanent – Full Time
FLSA Status: Exempt
Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday.
Purpose: Responsible for successfully recruiting/onboarding top craft personnel. This high impact position will have the opportunity to immediately and directly affect the success of H+M’s rapidly growing construction department.
Core Job Responsibilities- Effectively execute full recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment testing and onboarding.
- Prioritize recruiting needs and quickly change direction as needed to meet business needs.
- Foster strong partnership with operations/construction management to achieve recruiting goals.
- Continuously strive for process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within craft recruiting.
- Practice creative and proactive sourcing tactics including the use of internal and external job boards, Boolean searches, social media, and professional/networking groups.
- Network to recruit active and passive candidates for current positions and build talent pipelines for future career opportunities.
- Flawlessly execute tactical recruiting tasks including: management of incoming requisitions and approvals, accurate and timely updates of requisition status, coordinating pre-employment testing, background checks and drug testing, compiling new hire packets and conduct new hire orientations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be fully bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken).
- Strong background working in a high-volume, fast paced recruiting environment.
- Ability to manage a requisition load of 20+ job openings at a time.
- 5+ years of high-volume, industrial/field construction recruitment experience.
- Experience screening, hiring, sourcing, interviewing, and testing skilled laborers such as welders, pipe fitters, foremen, ironworkers, etc.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of EEO, FLSA, diversity recruiting, interview best practices.
- Outstanding customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated energy, enthusiasm and initiative.
- Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects.
Most work time is spent in an office environment.
