Overview
:
This is a niche, senior-level consulting role for an enterprise level client that is going live on Workday. Resumes that don't have Workday HCM Training experience will not be considered.
We're seeking an experienced Workday HCM Trainer to bolster training delivery for a Workday implementation. This role is crucial in ensuring backoffice teams, super users, and support staff are well-equipped to navigate the Workday HCM platform effectively.
This is a local, on-site contract role requiring flexibility to train across multiple Houston-area locations from mid-October through December. The successful candidate will have deep functional Workday HCM expertise, strong instructional delivery skills, and the ability to independently manage learning materials and training coordination without the need for close supervision.
Key Responsibilities
:
- Deliver engaging, in-person instructor-led training sessions to backoffice teams across multiple Houston locations.
- Tailor training content to various user groups, including:
- Functional backoffice teams
- Super users providing hypercare support
- Production support specialists and configurators
- Evaluate training needs and manage learning paths for each audience segment.
- Create, revise, and finalize training assets including tip sheets, job aids, SOPs, and user guides.
- Collaborate with reviewers to ensure materials are aligned, accurate, and published on time.
- Partner closely with the PMO and Change Management & Comms team to ensure alignment, reporting progress, raising blockers, and sharing decisions.
- Manage training timelines with minimal oversight; must be assertive, organized, and self-directed.
Required Qualifications
:
- Houston-based or willing to be on-site across Houston locations from mid-October through December.
- Strong cross-functional Workday HCM expertise across multiple modules, including:
Core HCM, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent - Must have participated in at least two full Workday HCM implementations.
- Proven experience developing and managing learning programs for backoffice and support roles.
- Comfortable leading instructor-led training sessions with confidence and clarity.
- Ability to produce and finalize training content independently—requires high accountability and project management discipline.

- Articulate
- Success Factors
- Microsoft Forms
