Sky Bridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with a new, design‑forward luxury hotel in Houston to recruit an accomplished and entrepreneurial Director of Catering to lead the launch and growth of a newly established catering division.
This is a rare opportunity to build a department from the ground up—developing strategy, structure, and standards for a property poised to redefine modern luxury in the Houston market. The ideal candidate will bring a proven background in catering sales, event design, and team leadership, along with the vision and drive to shape a department that reflects both creativity and operational excellence.
PayBase pay range: $/yr – $/yr
Additional compensation:
Annual Bonus, Commission, Stock options, and Tips
- Lead the creation and launch of the hotel’s catering department, establishing processes, goals, and service standards from inception.
- Drive sales and revenue growth through proactive prospecting, client relationship management, and community engagement.
- Oversee all aspects of event planning, detailing, and execution, ensuring a seamless experience that reflects the hotel’s elevated brand standards.
- Partner with the culinary, operations, and sales teams to deliver innovative, on‑brand events that balance profitability with memorable guest experiences.
- Develop strategic partnerships with corporate, social, and wedding clients to position the property as a top destination for luxury events in Houston.
- Manage forecasting, budgeting, and reporting while maintaining financial accountability and maximizing departmental performance.
- Recruit, mentor, and inspire a growing catering team as the department expands.
- 5+ years of experience in catering sales or event management within a luxury hotel or high‑end hospitality environment.
- Preferred to have Country Club experience as a Director of Catering.
- Strong track record of building or scaling successful catering or events operations.
- Deep knowledge of Houston’s event, social, and corporate markets.
- Proven ability to balance creative vision with business discipline.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Passion for hospitality, design, and delivering experiences that exceed expectations.
