Position: Construction Safety Training Manger - Houston TX Applicants ONLY

As a Construction Safety Training Manager
, you will be responsible for designing and delivering education programs that ensure all onsite personnel are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. Your primary goal is to foster a proactive safety culture that minimizes risk and prevents workplace injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Onsite Safety Education
    :
    Lead regular field-based sessions such as "toolbox talks," safety stand-downs, and hands-on equipment demonstrations.
  • Compliance Management
    :
    Ensure all personnel maintain valid certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, CHST, OSHA cards) and track expiration dates. Have experience working with training councils and developing distance learning training presentations.
  • Risk Assessment & Gap Analysis
    :
    Identify training needs by analyzing site hazards, near-miss reports, and incident metrics to update protocols accordingly.
  • Incident Investigation
    :
    Support site managers in investigating accidents to identify root causes and develop corrective training measures.
  • Culture Advocacy
    :
    Act as a safety liaison between project management and field staff, promoting a culture where safety is a shared responsibility.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Education
    :
    Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a
  • Experience
    : 5–10 years of experience in construction safety, with a proven track record in developing curriculum or leading training programs.
  • Certifications
    :
    Current Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), or OSHA Outreach Trainer credentials.
  • Regulatory Knowledge
    :
    Thorough understanding of OSHA Part 1910 & 1926 standards, local building codes, and environmental regulations.
  • Soft Skills
    :
    Excellent presentation and public speaking skills; ability to communicate complex safety protocols to a diverse, multi-lingual workforce.

Technical Savvy
:
Proficiency in safety management software, Microsoft Office, and emerging technologies like Vector Solutions or mobile reporting apps.
