- Manage the health and safety of all employees based in The Americas (Area
1). - Initiate, control, organise and monitor all necessary actions and processes related to occupational health and safety in Area
1. - Ensure regulatory compliance of all stations in Area
1. - Implement the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) in Area
1. - Provide the necessary health and safety advice, risk assessment, guidance and recommendation throughout the organization to enable the successful implementation of the OHSMS and limit the risks of accidents.
- Develop the culture of psychosocial risks.
- Carry out occurrence investigations, determine the root causes and make effective recommendations in order to prevent a recurrence.
- Be the primary point of contact with local authorities for all matters related to health and safety.
- Provide all required health and safety support, guidance and recommendation to the crisis management team in due time to minimize the impact for all persons involved in our activities.
- Realise administrative tasks in collaboration with the HR department.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 7‑10 years of work experience in a Health & Safety department or related field (e.g., risk area)
- Strong knowledge of safety management principles and ISO 45001 standard
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge in mental health and psychosocial risk or ISO 45003 standard
- Experience in aviation is considered an advantage
- Inquisitive and a good listener, maintain impartiality, able to handle confidential matters
- Ability to empathize and know your audience
- Comfortable working in a team as well as autonomously
- Ability to work with a remote team in an international environment
- Methodical and organized way of working
- Project management skills
- Ability to collect factual data
- Effectively handle complexity and possess good problem‑solving skills
- Strong PC knowledge (MS Office and Outlook) and learning capabilities
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to bend/stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to obtain an airport
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport
- Travel required (10‑50%)
- The position is based in Houston, Texas
- The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs
