The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Central Office Lead Coordinator plays a critical role in the operations of ACGME‑accredited and non‑standard training (NST) programs by providing advanced administrative and operational support to the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), GME leadership, Program Coordinators, Program Directors, Residents, Fellows, and institutional stakeholders. The position ensures compliance with accreditation and credentialing requirements, facilitates communication between departments and affiliates, and supports the overall efficiency of GME operations.

The Lead Coordinator leads initiatives related to data management and program coordinator development, ensuring the success of graduate medical education at the institutional and departmental level.

• Review credentialing requirements and maintain trainee personnel records for 1,600 residents and fellows in the institutional database.
• Resolve credentialing issues and ensure compliance with institutional, affiliate hospitals, and ACGME standards.
• Manage the planning and execution of GME Administrative Orientation for 500 residents and fellows annually.
• Administratively review and approve required documentation to ensure a seamless transition into training programs.
• Assume key processes and workflows on behalf of Human Resources for hiring and onboarding, including ensuring timely and accurate processing of employment actions.
• Provide comprehensive training, education, and ongoing guidance to program coordinators on institutional processes, GME‑program operations, accreditation requirements, and best practices.
• Facilitate and present to departmental GME coordinators on compliance updates, process improvements, and best practices.
• Lead training and development efforts for program coordinators across all Baylor College of Medicine campuses and affiliated sites.
• Serve as a backup and resource for Program Directors during departmental program coordinator vacancies to ensure continuity of operations and compliance with GME requirements.
• Manage critical GME medical education technology platforms that support the trainee lifecycle at BCM.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance to both trainees and program leadership to ensure system accuracy, functionality, and alignment with institutional and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare professional presentations and materials for team meetings, program meetings, and institutional trainings.
• Coordinate presenters and follow up with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on GME initiatives.
• Organize meetings, prepare agendas, document discussions, and ensure follow‑up on action items for institutional GME committees.
• Serve as the liaison between academic departments, hospital affiliates, and institutional leadership to facilitate program initiatives and ensure effective coordination of educational activities.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Six years of relevant experience.

• C‑TAGME certification.
